Now that you understand how toxic blue light is what can you do? Well, several things…
First and foremost make sure you go to the websites of big companies that produce CFL bulbs and let them know that you are not going to take being poisoned by blue light.
Next, make sure that you don’t have a curly light anywhere near you for at least an hour or two before you go to bed.
Also stay away from your computer, phone and iPad for at least an hour or two before bed, which should be a welcome relief and reason not to be online.
Next, if you have trouble falling asleep, there are specific sleep lights. The one I use is a SleepLight by Definitely Digital
And of course, their are Melatonin Supplements, of which I am going to start researching with a group of doctors on which is best. One doctor has told me to look into Magnolia Bark. I’ll have much more to come on this.
I’m heading to Las Vegas tomorrow for an ingredient convention. For now, I believe that just making sure you’re not directly in blue light from CFL’s and not on your computer or iPad at night will help you to start seeing a big difference.
